I never said I didn't want what people were suggesting, FN and BCM are both hammer forged and chrome lined. Not familiar with DS but will look into them too..

The only thing I disagree with is the idea chrome barrels are just a cheap way to compensate for bad manufacturing, seems like more typically its the high end stuff thats chrome lined while the commercial stuff is nitride or stainless.
