Today was the first chance Louann and I have had to look at the woods sense Debby passed on.
Pictures kind of speak for themselves........
First 2 are of what WAS a road.........next one is about a mile away......and there are at least 2 more like them we saw. In addition a number of places are still passable but need fill, there are trees down in a couple of places and one culvert has been completely uncovered.
And to make things worse the roads were just recently fixed.....$ which will now be respent!
The last 2 pictures are in order. Louann made me stop so she could take a picture of the tracks and then not 5 minutes later and about 1/3 of a mile on down the road we see this guy ambling along. About 9:30 in the morning.
Also saw a number of young turkeys, already as big as a good sized chicken......and one buck in velvet. The buck was on the edge of a recently planted pine field at almost noon. And we saw 7 does out in the middle of the day feeding.
Finally, the mosquitos.............HOLY COW..........KEEP THE WINDOWS UP AND THE DOORS CLOSED!!
