I have a S&W 640 and 642 and love both. The 640 is all stainless steel and the 642 is a stainless alloy. I prefer to carry the 642 because of the weight. If you can find one buy it!

I have been trying to find another 642 for 6 months and had no luck. I do not think that there is anyway to lose money on the 642 unless you pay above retail. If you find one and do not want it, let me know.
