Browning Arms never built a Hi-Power or a 1911.Everything with the Browning name is outsourced.
Colt built the original 1911's except during both World Wars.After patents expired is when you seen Kimber's,Springfield's and others.
FN built the Hi Power in Belguim originally with some clones built by other companies.
