The SIG 556 is a great gun, a bit front heavy but many pistol guns are front heavy. It is a little harder to find accessories and you spend a little extra money "AR-ING" it up but its well worth it if you ask me.

The M400 is also a good gun, I've read very few bad things about it. If you ask me though they are a little overpriced right now. A year ago I could get a basic M400 for $800.00. Now I am talking more like $910-920, for the $180.00 extra I can go buy a colt LE6920.
