Because of the relatively long shots on quail and doves down in this desert country, I use high-brass Winchester 7-1/2". A pretty good thump at both ends, even with a 30" Model 12.

I looked out of my kitchen window one evening and saw a bobcat just outside the yard. Somewhere around 25-30 yards. Stuck the muzzle out the door, pulled trigger and saw the prettiest somersault a cat could ever do. And that was the end of his quail-hunting.

Seems to me that 6s could do a number on Wiley Coyote. Unless, of course, you just flat missed His Highness...
