I was thinking about getting one to use on a scout mount (on the handguard of an m1 carbine).

On the one hand, the carbine round is too short range for it to matter, on the other my eyes are pretty awful.

I'm pretty sure the Eotech sight would be fine up there, but the magnifier might not work.
