I tend to agree. The only Taurus product I owned was that .22LR 9 shooter it was not a bad gun for a plinker.
After I fixed it so it would fire as the hammer pad was too thick and could not impart enough force for the firing pin to work right through the transfer bar.
I do not even know how the thing made it past final inspection and test.

I do have 2 freinds that simply love their Taurus handguns but they hardly ever shoot them.

Another had one of their compact polymere framed 9's kaboom on him. They replaced it and he sold the new replacment.
