When I first got into shooting I liked putting lots of rounds down range as quickly as possible without breaking the bank, therefore I'd go with a semi-auto .22lr (10/22). Although I bought a Henry youth model lever action .22lr for my 2yr old nephew for his first rifle...I'm counting down the days till it actually old enough to use it.
