Well, I finally picked up my SPS Tactical yesterday at my local shop. I ordered it from Bud's a couple of weeks ago - before the scare.
I had picked up the Nikon ProStaff BDC 3-9x40 a while back when it was on sale at Amazon for $100. I know it's not a great scope, but it doesn't seem to be a BAD scope, and at that kind of discount, I couldn't pass it up.
Mounted the scope with Weaver base and rings. I picked up a few boxes of ammo, but haven't gotten it out to shoot yet. Hopefully next weekend.
I am planning on upgrading the stock - probably to a B&C Medalist 2. Considering also going to their 10rd box magazine conversion... but that will probably be a little later if I do go with that. Harris bipod soon to come as well. I was expecting to out another trigger in it... but this trigger seems to be very nice, actually... so we'll see. Need to shoot it a bit first to get used to it.
I'm open to suggestions if there is another stock that you would recommend. I'm really just looking to get started at medium-long range shooting - only a few hundred yards probably... for now anyways.
