The "Ford vs Chev" debate of 30-30's has been around longer than I have and will rage on long after I'm gone. Here's what I know. I have four 94's in 30-30 and one 94-22 for good measure. Ranging from older than grandpa to a 100th anaversery. None has ever failed to do it's job on my watch. The one marlin 30-30 I "had" stripped brass from cases like a die grinder. Truth is it was probably the one bad one they made that year. Last year. Every older marlins I've owned I still own because they're excellent. My .02.
