I have a Desert Eagle 50AE that has had many many rounds
though it. I've recently discovered a hairline crack in
the frame.

I'd rather repair it then replace it for two reasons.
One, a new frame is $450 and I don't have that handy.
And two, purely for sentimental reasons.

Can anyone suggest a gunsmith that could weld the frame,
or better yet, any suggestions on what kind of welding
would fix this so I know what to ask for at my local shops?

I am not at all concerned about how it looks, I just want
to stretch some life out of this, and since the crack is
in the front of the frame, the worst thing that could
happen if it gives way is it throws the slide off the
frame and onto the floor. Embarrising, yes, dangerous...
I doubt it.

Any suggestions are greatly apprecaited!!
