Here's my story and I'm sticking to it.

When I got interested in guns in the late '70s, the .357 revolver was king. This was before the wundernines. I wanted a Colt Python but (I thought) I could not afford one. I looked at everything else on the market. This was also when there were concerns about the Smith K frames holding up to .357s over the long term. I looked at the N frame Smiths but they seemed way too bulky for me.

My first centerfire revolver was a six inch stainless Ruger Security Six. I added a Trapper spring kit and commenced to shoot the doghair out of it. The frame is about the size of a K frame Smith with a larger cylinder. The more I shot it the better it got. I still have it.

There are more exotic revolvers but you can't go wrong with the Ruger.
