I'm, by no stretch of the imagination, an expert on this, but... It was either soldered on, or oven-brazed on. The former is a
relatively low (600-650 degrees) heat process, the later... a good amount more (minimum of 840 degrees) heat.
Perhaps someone will come along and corroborate, elaborate... or prove me completely wrong.
