I actually like the 40VE's long 'heavy' pull and just treat it like a DA revolver. They can be shot well enough in a hurry in that manner.

Good results are indeed possible if you slow down a little;

I find that to be pretty much the case whatever I'm shooting. More on a recent example, here.
