My experience with surplus Mausers has been that they usually print high at 100 yards. I've had some print as much as 9" high with the back sight on its lowest setting. With a slightly taller front sight and the Sierra 175 gr. loads worked up with IMR 4064, I've gotten a very good combination of velocity and accuracy and the groups print where they're supposed to.
