At my range you shoot at the pre designated ranges. The range is set up so if you do the bullet impact stays within the range. The club used to be out in the swamp with no residents around but civilization is encroaching every year. One unfortunate stray round could shut us down.
There are range selections from 25 feet to 600 feet. No ground targets allowed but on the Pistol Practice range you can set up a portable stand at closer ranges. On the "action" range (it has higher berms) you can shoot cowboy action and Intl. practical shooters course.
