Speed strips are good. I always found even J-fame speedloaders uncomfortable to carry in a pocket.

You might also look at a 2x2x2 pouch - a snap pouch that goes on your belt and carries 3 sets of 2 cartridges. It is not a dump pouch, but rather lets you unsnap and fold the covering flap behind the cartridge section, which is constrained from moving beyond about 30 degrees off vertical. The pouch therefore presents the cartridges case head up. You simply pluck two cartridges out at a time, loading two chambers at once. Once you're trained, it's faster than speed strips and not much behind a speedloader. Plus, the pouch does not look like anything gun related, and stays on your belt.

Desantis, Galco, and maybe a few others used to make these, probably still do.
