My all round load for .357 has become 15 grains of H-110 behind 173 or 180 Cast bullets. 1150 in snubs to 1400 in long toms and 1600 in carbines. This load is not red hot, and accurate in everything I,ve tried it in. Cast hard the penetration has to be seen to be believed. I WOULD NOT use lead bullet in light J frames but would carry JSP 180s for emergency bear defense(small bears) or big game coup d'gra with one.Of course it is not a dedicated antipersonnell round.
