No, your not insane. With the recent gun climate you should be able to sell it for your asking price range. I frequently attend shows in PA and can tell you that guns and ammo are bringing big money (double/triple MSRP) for one simple reason -people are paying it.
Would you get $3500-$4000 for it a few months ago? Absolutely not.
