You do not say what 700 .308 you have, but my 700PSS in .308 has Rock of Gibraltar strength with Badger Ordnance Maximized Rings and Picatinny base.

My PSS in .223 uses Leupold Mark4 rings and bases.

Both are expensive, heavy and very good with Badger being heavier duty.
