Second that Birch..especially when you are buying. The father in law has the Optima (slick looking and shoots nice) and I have shot the Vortek by Traditions at the range (when a fellow shooter was kind enough to let me throw a few down range). Both solid but I have two TCs - one in 308 and another muzzy so I am leaning towards what I know and whats puts meat on the ground. That said, I love hearing the advice - and firearms, unlike my beautiful wife, don't care if you have other models around.
Any other recommendations out there? Thanks again all.
