The SCAR is a wonderful $900 rifles that is priced at 4X the true value. It's excellent in many ways, but I cannot see that it does a lot better than the AR-15 rifles, and certainly not $2,700 better.

I am sure it's gas system is going to be better over several barrel lives worth of full auto fire, but for those of us shooting semi-auto and those that don't have unlimited money for ammo, it's a moot point.

In the 308 it is also excellent but way over priced. I have a friend that lives about 6 miles from me who got a 308 version of one, and I have used it. It's accurate and trouble free. It cost him $3,600. I have an FN-FAL that is only 1/2 as accurate as his SCAR and it weighs 2 pounds more. It shoots about 2" and his SCAR shoot about MOA
I have to ask myself if I would pay $3600 and $86 per mag to get a 1" smaller group and to save 2 pounds of weight.
I answered myself with a resounding NO!
But that's me....others may thing it's worth that much. Some people do, or they would not pay that insultingly high price.
