I would say yes, as it adds a slight amount of viscosity. The mixture I concocted (I call it "Alex's Amber" ) seems pretty tenacious. Incidentally, the Lucas will not go into solution with the rest of the stuff unless the MEK is added.

I opted for MEK as I wanted something a little less volatile than acetone. Even though MEK is more expensive and not as easy to find, I just *had* to have it.

It works well for me.
