Back when I used to load the .44 Magnum, I used Universal Clays for mild/midrange loads and H-110 for the heavy 240 gr JHP or 300 gr cast bullet loads. You could easily substitute W-296 for the H-110 and Unique for the Universal Clays, I just preferred the Universal Clays as it seemed to meter a little better and burn cleaner than Unique. If you ask me H-110 = W-296.
