I bought mine early this year, when they first started shipping to dealers. Although it's a bit picky about ammo (hates virtually all round-nosed lead, likes truncated HP just fine) that's no different from other rimfires I own(ed). Once I settled on bulk-pack Winchester copper HPs, Federal Spitfire and various CCIs, it has been a joy to shoot. If I go to the range with friends, everyone wants to try the SR22, and a couple of them have bought SR22s of their own.
Mine replaced a Walther P22 that was just too "glitchy" for my tastes, and it makes a fine practice stand-in for my Beretta PX4 9mm subcompact. It doesn't hurt that I bought it new for $289.
