Ellis--

Sorry but most of my experience with lead bullets in a .40 High Power and a Taurus has been with 165 and 180 gr. bullets. These work well with moderate loads of Universal--I use 5 gr. but suspect it would function well with lighter loads as well. The 180/5.0 Universal does quite well on steel plates and is still pleasant to shoot. No serious leading problems.
