I'm on the cusp of getting a new job that pays mucho dinero. So, some new guns are in my near future. I already have an AK (VEPR K 7.62x39) and am looking for a really nice semi auto rifle in .308. After checking the prices on M1A's I almost choked. I realize that they're very high quality rifles, and are American made, but are they really worth $1400? I could buy TWO VEPR II's in .308 for that price. I guess what I need to know is is the VEPR II in .308 anywhere near as accurate as an M1A? I'm not interested in a rifle that's only capable of 4" groups at 100 yards with quality ammo, scope, and bench rest. If that's all the VEPR II in .308 is capable of I'm not interested. Please help me spend some $$$ on a gun.
