Before you give up on double-stack 9mm pistols entirely, I have to ask whether you've tried a Browning Hi-Power. In my experience, people who find the Beretta 92 and double-stack Sigs too large in the grip very often find that the slender grip of the Hi-Power suits them well. They're still in production, and they're wonderful guns.
