you can't be gripping both handles and draw it easily as far as I can tell. I'd rather have it in the front zippered portion. That way you can hold the bag stead with one hand while easily drawing.

I see your concern,,,
Instead of right under the handles,,,
I placed the zipper tabs more
on the corner,,,
It's always worn with the strap across my body.
It may be a bit slower than a holster,,,
But I have been practicing with it quite a bit,,,
My poor cat Bart has been aimed at a lot these past few days.
I grab the bag handles with the left hand to steady it,,,
Then zip down with the right and grab the gun,,,
It's really much quicker than it sounds.
Seriously though,,,
This fits my lifestyle very well.
