Foster type slugs are made to be safely shot from shotguns of any choke in good repair. As to how accurately, start at 40 yards, and keep moving back until you don't feel optimistic about generating a killing shot reliably. That is how far your Stevens should be shot at game. I think the bead sight will be more of a limiting factor than the full choke as far as accurate shooting.
