Justin Smith replaced term-limited Jim Alderden.
Alderden replaced fellow Republican Shockley by running on a ticket of must-issue CCW. (Shockley wouldn't issue.)
Alderden then spearheaded the effort at the Colo. Legislature to get shall-issue CCW passed. He spoke as the head of the Colorado Sheriff's association.
While Sheriff Smith might be difficult to pin down on just what he defines as unConstitutional gun laws, we have a darn good track record in this county of protecting gun rights.
I just wish our legislators at State and Federal level hadn't been able to gerrymander the gun rights block's- representation away at those levels.
It will be interesting to see how Law Enforcement lines up on the issue across the country.
