I use Scott Solo 1000 almost exclusively for all of my handgun and shotgun reloading. It is the cleanest burning powder I have used in over 30 years. It's only good for light to medium loads, but I really like it.
In the .45 acp I usually use 4.1 grains with a 200 gr. swc for target and about a half a grain more to make the IDPA power factor for .45 acp.
If you don't need maximum velocity, this is a very clean powder to use.
