still...you're looking at a 26" vs a 22" barrel here, right? I mean would the H and R not be "taming" the blast a tad...regardless of the distance the muzzle is from the shooter?

committed to 25-06? well...I have two .243s (love the cartridge) and some other short actions...to be honest I've just always thought that the 25-06 was a pretty darn neat cartridge. also...I want another Marlin X7....this one in CAMO....and the '06 interests me the most out of the available chamberings. Can you compare blast of 22" 243 and 22" 25-06??
