Got my extended safety for my 870, (Plus a Vang Barrel, nice). I am struggling to remove the safety, which is one of those horrid lockable ones. Vang has helpfully said " place a finger over the detent spring hole and push the pin out". I am assuming this is detent which is about half an inch above the safety. I pushed the pin out, and a small spring which was under the spring came out too. He the says remove the old safety, which WONT COME OUT! Any ideas?
