Thank you Jim. On most S&W wheel guns I've seen the model number is stamped on the yoke. Any idea what that number means?

I found a post on an S&W forum a few minutes ago that mentioned a fellow having a 1923 built one of these with a serial in the 116xxx range. He claimed his barrel was stamped with 32-20 and IIRC S&W made the nomenclature change about then. So I am ASSuming this is pre-1923.

Saw it sitting in a pawn shop today. Looked so nice for a nearly 100 year old I had to have it.

Prolly paid too much, but, Feh. It's only money.

Any idea what frame this is? Wikipoodia says it is a variant of the model 10 which would make it a K?
