As 1911rocks says, the suppressor is the item registered with the BATFE in accordnce with the National Firearms Act.

I dont' see any reason why you couldn't use it a host for a suppressor. You could do one of two things: Get an aftermarket drop in barrel that's extended and threaded for a suppressor, 2) Send it to ADCO FIREARMS and they can thread the original barrel.

What they would most likely do for you is thread the barrel and make an adapter that would go on the threaded part of the barrel and extend past the slide so you can mount a suppressor to it. With the proper Nielson type device, it should work well.
