Objectively, the Glock is a more durable design; the locking block on the Beretta is prone to breakage whereas the more common ejection port lockup of the Glock is more durable. Also, the Glock has a smaller grip yet still has two more rounds in the magazine. The Glock has a rail for flashlights/lasers. The Glock is also lighter because of its polymer frame.
Subjectively, I don't like the direction of the Beretta's safety or the fact that it gets in the way of grasping the slide. I also don't like the DA/SA trigger for self-defense use. But the Beretta has a smother feel with a better fit and finish. It also shoots very well.
