The 458 socom uses "pistol" powders and even pistol primers. However there is a bit more difference in our cans than just the cones. The one I built is 14.75"x2" and .060" 4130 tube, that's a lot of volume difference at first glance; however, the one I built only extends 7" past the muzzle so the inner tube that goes over the barrel subtracts from that volume.
