We all have opinions, but are we really right? Who knows.

I really enjoy M1 Rifles! However, if you own it, do what you want with it. Somehow, doing a custom M1 is bad because they are "rare and valuable". Truthfully, they are not that rare. If someone was doing an unusual conversion on a Ruger Mini 30, no one would have heart burn, and I suspect there are waaaaay more M1 rifles floating around than Mini 30's.

I am going to get one of my M1's done this way when I am steadily employed again. If you do not get the magazine conversion, a new barrel and op rod and the rifle is "restored". I do not want the mag, because I like en blocs for a number of reasons, but that is my belief not everyone elses. If you want the mag conversion, go for it.
