I'm in Oregon and we're good for carrying sidearms during hunting season. I've been to several gun shops in the area and the responses have been all over the board...from knives to .22's and .380 stuffed in the back pocket to "anything but a .45". It also seems to be the logistics of bringing a weapon to the ready as much as the caliber (I'm pretty sure stuffing something in my back pocket isn't the thing to do...). I've gleened alot of info off of this forum and thought I'd toss it out. I had a blast on the hunt and plan on many more hunts. I just want to be a little more prepared... and in better shape!
