Actually you can use .451 conicals with them. Original Whitworths had either the .451 hexagonal bolts or their conical equivalent. I read somewhere that the hexangonals were better for very long range shooting.

There were mile hits outside of Atlanta. Hooker was conducting a review and his aide and several of his escort were hit. He then sent the 13th NJVI to drive them out. They did and returned with 30 PoWs but once back, the rebels got saucy again.
