Yes - feed issues occur during the forward pump motion and extraction/ejection issues occur as you pump to the rear.
If you have a spent round in the chamber and the slide will not move to the rear, you either have a stuck shell or the gun has a mechanical issue. Have you tried to pogo the gun?
