I always used lead or plated semi-wadcutters in my 1911 for IPSC. For years I used the 200 grain variety with good results, then went to 255 grain bullets. With the lowered power factor, I think I would go with 200 grain bullets, if I ever get back into IPSC. Round nose bullets will be the most reliable feeders, but it can be difficult to see and score hits on the cardboard targets.
