I'm not sure about the Rugers, but that Savage should be a 1:9 twist at least. With that, you can shoot up towards a 73gr bullet.
I'm shooting 69gr Sierra MatchKings, and Tipped MatchKings from my wife's Savage 110FP.

When using the 55gr bullets for casual plinking, i've been using Win748, and Alliant Varmint with good results.

As for the 22-250, i might take a look at H380.
