That's strange. This month I have cleaned about a dozen 22 rifles with my Dewey 22 caliber rod. It's tight with a 22 caliber jag on it, but it fits as long as I don't try with 2 patches on it. Try it with a loop on it and see if your rpoblem goes away.

I have a 17-caliber rod, but I don't use it much. I'm afraid I will break that little thing. I't not much bigger than a spaghetti noodle.
