Thanks Oak, my club is limited to 800 as of now but hopefully we will have a 1000 yard range in a year or so. A few of the guys are playing with the magnums now but after reading up a bit I think the 260 is easier on the shoulder and wallet and just as effective if not more. Why use 65 - 70 grains of powder when 40 - 45 will do the same thing. Some of the 6mm cartridges are interesting but the cost of custom dies makes them out of the question.

I figure barrel, cases, dies, bullets etc will only set me back 600 or so with the 260. I have a .473 bolt face all set up
