The only things I do different than SGB is I keep the gun cocked so YOU MUST use the action release... Should someone grab my gun, they have to know how to hit the action release to put the gun into use. And I keep the safety on so when I do cycle a round, I am in safe mode and my personal training and the use of M-500 exclusively, I naturally have my index finger along the receiver and thumb resting on the safety.
