I'll be using my trusty Ruger Mk II all-weather .300 Win Mag that has taken five (nice) whitetails, a so-so muley, two elk and a black bear in the 15 years I've had it. This isn't counting the dozen or so doe. NOT ONE animal has went over 10 yards and yes, it has messed up some shoulder meat. First trip to the range (many years ago) it shot a cloverleaf, 3-shot, 1/2" group at 100 yards and hasn't changed a bit. Until I put a new scope on this year I never had to touch the scope settings in 15 years. Not many can say that. (I check it every year though).....
