Sir William, the Romans were in the iron age which came after the bronze age.Many confuse iron swords with modern steel. Actually bronze and iron swords were very close in performance. Neither could be heat treated but instead they hammered [work hardened] the edges.So the romans and celts had the same iron weapons.Weapon style and tactics differed.
